Insights on the impacts of arts-based methods
The presentation gives different angels to arts-based methods in society. Description for arts-based methods vary according to context. One may conduct arts-based methods in field of research, in pedagogy or when creating dialogues among groups. The arts (visual arts, music, drama, dance, poetry) offer epistemic base, which allow holistic and sensory knowledge to open up subjectivity to shared common discussion. Examples and cases in presentation are mostly from Finland, but sights for international and multicultural projects are also tackled.
