Do we have systematic processes for societal engagement in higher education institutions (HEI)? What are our tools for evaluation and assessment of societal impact? How do we bridge challenge-based learning in the classroom with societal engagement of HEIs? How could we create a model to bridge teaching and societal engagement and impact of HEIs?

These and other similar questions are addressed at the public event of Higher Education Institutions for Societal Engagement (HEISE) -project on 4th of April, 2019 in EMTA,Tallinn. “Bridging Education and Societal Engagement” is an event that focuses on societal engagement and impact of higher education institutions and how these can be built on challenge-based learning processes that use art based methods. The event introduces preliminary results of research-based HEISE project. We invite you to think along and discuss the matter with panelists and colleagues.
